IBM Data Scientist interview questions

The position was a perfect match for my expertise and PhD topic, and my publications. So, I was almost sure I will be at least shortlisted for this position. I was the 6th applicant for this job according to LinkedIn, and while getting back to applicants usually takes a long time in IBM research, they sent me this message after only 5 days of the position being advertised: "After careful consideration we regret to inform you that other candidates have been assessed as more suitable for the open position. We received a number of applications for this role and selecting the short list proved to be challenging. Thanks for your interest in a role with us and the time and effort in submitting your application. We certainly encourage you to consider other opportunities at IBM and hope that you have continued interest in a career with us." That would have been totally fine by me; however, when I contacted the person in charge of this position, they told me they did not review the applications after the first few ones, because they found the person they were looking for! This has happened to me more than a year ago, but the same thing happened to my friend recently, and made me to write this review. Hopefully they'll see this and act more professionally in the future.
