I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Aug 2020
Interview
I applied online and all communication was via automated emails. I was invited to first complete a series of short games. The next email invited me to complete a 2 to 3 hour technical assessment on HackerRank. Since completing both tasks several weeks ago I still haven't received a rejection or invitation for more tasks. Overall, a sterile and fruitless recruiting experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For the short games: move a ball through a maze, solve simple math equations in rapid succession, etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at IBM in Jul 2020
Interview
Got referred by an IBM employee. From the referral date, got a cognitive ability assessment and as I submitted it, got the coding challenge - Hackerrank. Try to get familiar with hackerrank as having the coding ability in a different platform is not quite helpful if you do not know how hackerrank works (with respecto data science challenges).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1 SQL, 1 Categorical variable question - you should be good with break down the logic and implementing it via any programming language in the given time.
Process took about 2 months. Shortly after I applied there was a series of online "tests" consisting of a hackerrank challenge and learning assessments. Soon after, there was a 15 minute screening over something similar to Skype. A few weeks later there was an hour long interview over the same platform.
