I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IBM (London, England) in Feb 2024
Interview
The IBM Business Analyst interview process was thorough and professional, consisting of multiple rounds including an initial phone screening, technical assessment, and final panel interview. The interviewers were knowledgeable and created a comfortable environment to discuss both technical skills and behavioral scenarios. They focused heavily on problem-solving abilities, experience with requirements gathering, and understanding of business process improvement. The questions were well-structured and allowed me to showcase relevant experience while learning more about IBM's methodology and culture. Overall, the process was organized and gave a good sense of the role expectations and team dynamics.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Walk me through how you would approach analyzing a client's current business process that isn't meeting their efficiency goals, and describe the steps you'd take to identify improvement opportunities and present recommendations to stakeholders.
The process was awful; in addition to the assessments and the normal rounds of interviews, you have to create a PowerPoint document that you have to present. I went through a lot of interviews, but IBM was the worst.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at IBM (California, MD) in Mar 2023
Interview
Mostly personality questions to see if I fit the role. No technical questions were asked, and the entire interview was prerecorded and not in person. Questions seemed surface level and not very informative as if I would fit into the role well.
