I was referred from a current employee at HubSpot and the recruiter, Katie Donohue, reached out to me for an initial screening phone conversation (What do you know about HubSpot? Why are you a good fit? Why HubSpot?). I was also asked to complete a 130+ question assessment. Next, I had a call with a Senior Manager who asked similar questions; however, they were more aligned with my background and experience (Why are you leaving your current role? Tell me about yourself). After this second phone call, I was invited to come in to meet with some of the team. The in-person interview took a total of 5 hours and I met with 5 Managers. They sent a 7 page document with sample questions as well as exercises/case studies to prepare in advance. Make sure to take time to prepare and remember to close each interviewer. Following the in-person interview, I was asked to do a role play, which is recorded and sent to the hiring managers. Lastly, I had a final call with the VP of Sales who asked some additional questions and reviewed my assessment results. The last call was with the recruiter, Katie, who made a job offer.
Overall, the interview process was long and thorough however Katie assisted throughout it.
