I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA) in Jan 2016
Interview
The process was multi-step, but went along quickly. Probably took about two and half weeks, start to finish. Two phone interviews: one with a recruiter, another with a sales manager. I got past that reasonably well and got invited to participate in the last round of interviews.
I got there at 11 in the morning and didn't leave until 3:45. I met with six different people at different levels of the company for about a half an hour each. Having to be in interview mode for that long borders on unfair. It tires you out and you feel like you're rehashing some of the same "sell yourself" stories over and over again.
For a company built on the premise that the traditional sales and marketing playbook is broken/outdated, you'd think that they would apply that same thought process to how they interview and hire. It was a very stock, vanilla interview process on the whole. A series of half an hour interviews isn't a great way to interview anymore, and it's time to rethink it. Interviews are high pressure, and especially for a sales job, you feel compelled to always be selling yourself as a candidate. If you get to talkative, people think you're not a good active listener/team player. Too quiet, and people think you are timid/hesitant/and don't want it enough. It's a broken process. I digress.
The company and its facilities/perks is second to none, and it would have been a great place to work. I wish it could have gone differently.

Please describe yourself
What do you want do in this position
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2023
Interview
It was a structured interview with introduction, experience and scenario questions.
Unfortunately the manager was terrible. She looked and sounded like she didn’t want to be there. After the interview I got feedback (which is in general nice), however the feedback I got did not match at all with the interview/answers given during the interview. Either the hiring manager did pay zero attention or I got mixed up with another candidate. Both is pretty frustrating and makes the company look like an unprofessional place to work and I probably dodged a bullet.

Question 1
Previous experience, why you want to work in the role
After the submission of my application, I received an email confirmation. The process has been streamlined. The first round of the interview was a video interview where they will prompt the questions on the screen and you are given a time limit to complete it.
