      Recruiter Interview

      Dec 22, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Singapur
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Singapur) in Nov 2019

      Interview

A team member reached out to me on Linkedin for this opportunity. It was a nice a friendly message. The next steps were set out very quickly and a time was confirmed to speak with them via phone. This is great as the reach out time was very short to keep candidate's interest warm. However, on the interview day itself, the interviewer emailed me saying that she was busy and if it's possible to reschedule to the following week. I agreed and then she went MIA. I even sent a couple of followup emails and there wasn't any response. Overall, it was a really bad candidate experience from an organization which is the "top 10 companies to work for in Singapore". It was not a pleasant experience to leave the candidate hanging especially when the team reached out at first. Advice to the team: If you are not moving ahead with the candidate, at least have the decency to get back to them

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at HubSpot in Jan 2026

      Interview

Started process with a phone screening lasting about 30/35 minutes with a recruiter. Next step was interview with one of the hiring managers. They were 15 minutes late, spent the majority of the interview reading something on another screen, did not seem to be listening to me as I had to clarify aspects of my previous job on more than one occasion as they kept claiming incorrect things about my job. They also mentioned they had “talked to a a lot of people who worked in my company” and again stated incorrect things about my experience they had just assumed for some reason. At the end they told me they would read over the answers I gave that were recorded by the AI note taker and make her decision. Didn’t seem to be listening and seemed to have just had an idea in her head based on talking to someone else in a different department in my old job and wasn’t bothered to consider I might be doing something different.
