I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2018
Interview
The interview process took roughly four weeks. I had a phone screening interview first with Ian who is a tech recruiter in the Dublin office. This was an informal chat where Ian told me about the role and asked some questions about my experience. Ian was great throughout the process and kept me in the loop at every stage, he was also always on hand to answer my many questions! The next step was a Skype style interview with the hiring manager who is based in the US. This was more role specific where I was asked about my experience to date and asked to give specific examples (the STAR method is a useful framework to prepare for these). The final step was an onsite interview. This section was split into three interviews with various HubSpot employees across the Dublin and Cambridge office. Unfortunately I did not get offered the position. The feedback I received from HubSpot was invaluable and now I know which areas of my interview skills I need to improve on further. I would have no problem recommending HubSpot to anyone as I found the whole process to be very positive. I will definitely keep an eye on future roles which are advertised in their Dublin office as I think it would be a great place to work.
