What stood out in my interview with Hilti was that the conversation was far less about domain expertise and far more about leadership behaviour.
Very early on, it became clear that they assume domain skills can be learned—what they actively probe is how you think, lead, and take ownership.

Interview
It was a very friendly process without any hidden agenda. direct questions and wonderful response timing. They were very helpful, even setting up a call to give me feedback and points of improvement.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hilti Group (Schaan) in Mar 2024
Interview
2 stange online interview. Starting with another Product Manager and then the a manager of the department. Questions were quite generic in the first stage. In the second stage the questions were more specific on tackling certain problems and scenarios. The interviewer seemed to be looking for specific answers which made little sense to me in coming from a software world.
