Interview
I applied to HERE in Berlin through LinkedIn, and was contacted very shortly after that by their recruiter / HR coordinator.
I was given an online test on Codility (with compilation and testing in your preferred language) to perform alone when it's convenient to me.
The test included 3 programming questions. First is very easy (I guess if you can't solve that one perfectly you would be rejected). Second is about a simple algorithm but required handling edge cases well and integer overflow. The third was to find a good algorithm (with time and space constraints) and again required to note edge cases.
I don't publish the questions, as they specifically requested so.
I completed the test successfully, although after submitting it I immediately thought of a small mistake in the second question.
The HR person then called me and set a phone interview with one of the engineers, which indeed asked a question similar to the one I had a mistake in, to make sure I don't have any problem in that area.
He also asked a lot about C++ design patterns, which I told him I'm not very familiar with, since I worked mostly in C in my career. He seemed surprised and skeptical when I told him I wrote lots of design documents, but didn't know design patterns like "adapter" and "facade".
At the end of the interview I felt the he needed to consider my application further (it didn't seem like a clear pass or reject).
A few days later I got a rejection email, didn't specify the reason of rejection, but mentioned that they may contact me in the future.
The entire process was pretty quick and efficient, felt fair, and the people involved were friendly.

Question 1
The C++ design patterns topic was definitely unexpected.

Interview
Had a talk at Career fair. Then a phone screen, followed by an onsite interview. Most questions were about Object Oriented Programming, Algorithm and data structure. The questions are not difficult, but I didn't answer them all correctly. I think the exprience for both sides were positive. About 3-4 coding problems. All are basic problems.
