Got reached out by the recruiter - total process took around 6 weeks. Initial chat was 30 min on background, past projects, and leadership scope. Phone screen was a mix of program management (multi-team alignment, delivery tracking), light technical (sys design, scalability trade-offs), and some behavioral. Onsite was 5 rounds: 1 program execution (OKRs, dependencies, stakeholder management), 1 sys design (mine was designing an API rate-limiting system), 1 product sense (balancing tech debt vs velocity), 1 leadership/Googleyness (influencing without authority, handling failures), and a final bar raiser. Seemed like they care less about coding, more about how you think and drive impact across teams. Super structured and professional process. I practiced design with ByteByteGo and did TPM mocks on Prepfully with ex-Googlers - those were spot-on for learning how to frame execution metrics and stakeholder influence stories. The process was detailed in advance by the recruiter, so that helped!
