It was not good. They hired and I got laid off 4 months later. Stay away because it’s not an ideal situation for me. Google is t that great of a work place.
The recruiter call ended up as interview set-up (phone screen round and following rounds), then came back with an additional "fit call" first with HM, then followed with the formal interview round that changed to a different format. So far I think the process is making sense due to my own background (10+ years of experience), but still I feel it's overly complicated.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
overall system design knowledge, small coding question.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Google (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interviewer asked me questions, and then I thoughtfully answered with the best of my ability. There were technical questions and non-technical questions. I enjoyed the interview process. Best of luck to anyone who interviews here.
