I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Singapur)
Interview
I was asked to go through a screening round with hiring manager. The round was technical and more of SQL and Python. It went well. Then I had an HR screening round which also went quite well. HR scheduled a meeting to prepare for the interviews...
Then I waited and waited... I had sent multiple reminders but no got no reply. Suddenly HR scheduled a meeting after a month. And - he said "my apologies, somehow your profile expired and I couldn't retrieve it, so sorry for my mistake. During this time someone else is selected for the role".
I never expected a company like Google has this kind of problem.

Question 1
SQL query involving joins and analytical functions
The interview process was straightforward and professional. It began with a recruiter screening focused on my background, interest in the Business Analyst role, and general fit. The conversation then moved into my analytical experience, communication style, and how I approach ambiguous business problems.
Interview process is dumb. Honestly not worth the hype. Was done over the phone and the interviewer wasn’t even that friendly. I’m sure it’s a great fit for some people but I need something with more of a focused vision.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
