An agent contacted me about the AE position at Fluor. Initially, he conducted assessments and I had to provide two references before considering me for the role. He then presented me to the company, and I had two interviews. The first was with three people and the second was with the CEO. After meeting with the CEO, I felt positive about getting the job. However, it took a month to make a decision. The agent reassured me that I was the preferred candidate and they were following standard procedure by meeting another candidate. There were mixed messages, and I felt like they were toying with me. In the end, they informed me that the position had been given to someone who worked as an administrative assistant. This process wasted a month and a half of my time.
