The process from the portal application to the call with the recruiter was easy enough to then an orientation interview with Ian Mooiweer.
However, it’s unfortunate when the politics kicks in from the beginning of a well executed conversational interview where I highlighted how well I fitted the job description, asked questions in turn to ensure it was a good fit and the interviewer Ian Mooiweer showed in his body language that they had someone in mind already and had little interest in anything I had to say. That his minuscule criticism stemmed from my cover letter. Now I don’t mind this but considering my experience was well suited to this role and I did ensure a professional engaging interview, I was hoping I would be given a fair shake to at least proceed to the next step before the politics came into play.
