Capital One Sr Software Engineer interview questions

Since I was interviewed by Capital One earlier and they had my online test report already, they scheduled me for one hour technical telephonic interview. After that, four hour onsite interview with 2 behavioral, one technical and one job fit. Since they were looking for a full stack developer I was interviewed more around different technologies, language and my view on DevOps. Over all, it was a great experience and for folks who think they were talking to a robot, I would say that the interviewers do pay full attention to what a candidate is saying except that they do not make eye contact very often as they have to make notes about candidate's answers in to their online system for later group review.

Contractor recruiter working for CapitalOne saw my resume online and pinged me. I sent him my updated resume and had a half-an-hour chat with him as a starting point. I must give him a full credit: very professional during the whole hiring process which contained: 1. HR interview 2. Technical screening (1 hour over the phone) 3. Online exam (2 hours) 4. Tech interview (with presentation) in person (1 hour) 5. Behavioral interview in person (1 hour) 6. Additional communication with HR All interviews were professional, not intimidating, in the friendly environment. Screening questions were clear and not difficult. Not a typical behavioral interview with standard meaningless questions that most of the employers ask. I also asked for the tour in the office and got it. The bottom line: very satisfied with recruiting process. The only unpredictable thing is that you are interviewed by people not necessarily from your future team. So you do not really know whom you will be working closely with.
