Question 1

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Jun 2011
Interview
I applied on line for a couple of positions. Was asked to take the online assessments. The math one was really hard....and don't forget it's timed like I did! I bombed the math one, but the hr person said i might still qualify for a different position...I originally applied for Data Analyst, but was interviewed for MIS Analyst. Had a phone interview...interviewer was 15 min late to call me. Then in person interviews...the all morning 4 hour one. they ask you to be there at 8. first interview isnt until 830. And my first interviewer was 15 min late. Case interviews were somewhat straight forward, but you must know your algebra. Since it has been years since I have used this, I didn't do well. I asked if algebra was used in the position I was applying for and the interviewer said no...so why do I have to know if for a case interview?!!! The behavior interviews were very focused on specific times when you did a specific thing. I felt like I didn't have the chance to talk about what I am good at and what I am capable of because the scope of the questions were so limited. Got an email two days later saying I was not offered a position. They are hiring A LOT of analyst right now...and I can see why it takes so long to fill positions. Not a good experience. Not sure I would have been happy there anyway.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in May 2011
Interview
First round was the telephone screen by HR. It was just about the resume.
Second round was five interviews at their Richmond office. They fly you and put you in a nice hotel. The process was really comfortable. Second round consists of three case and two behavioral interviews. Cases were not traditional cases. They were analytical and based on cards business entirely. The final round case was really hard.
