I applied over the summer and did the coding assessment within ~2 weeks. Then 3 months later in November a recruiter reached out for the final round (there was only 1 round). The final round was a 4 hrs - three 1 hr sessions and an hour break. First round was coding, second was behavioral, third was case interview. The coding problem was a pretty simple hash map problem, behavioral was 3 STAR questions, and the case interview was kind of like the first round where they gave a problem but you only have to talk about pseudocode and then fix some existing code.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in Jul 2025
Interview
You first do an HR screening (30-min call) with a recruiter who will go over your resume.
If you pass, then you'll do a mini case interview which lasts an hour.
Finally you will do a Power Day that consists of 4, 1-hour long interviews.

Question 1
How would you scale a solution to improve the checkout experience at a grocery store?
Very strenuous process, with a case fit style interview included. About seven rounds of interviews. They aren’t particularly difficult, but they are time consuming. No follow up for weeks in between, so it can feel like you are being left in the dark.
