I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Tampa, FL) in Apr 2013
Interview
Initially I took an online assessment that included a personality test and an extremely easy virtual call test. The virtual call test consisted of 4 scenarios in which you choose the best response to a customer's inquiry or complaint. A few days later I received a call from a recruiter and set up a phone interview. The phone interview went well -- extremely easy HR style interview. The next day the recruiter called to set up the next interview. Once again a phone interview but this time conducted by the hiring manager. The recruiter informed me that the hiring manager would utilize the behavioral interview style. The interview was not very difficult and overall it went well. This portion of my experience with Capital One was a breeze -- in fact probably the smoothest interview process I have ever been involved with. I received a call the next day from the recruiter informing me that they really wanted me and subsequently Capital One extended an offer. I didn't formally accept because I had to make arrangements for relocating and had to call the recruiter back to confirm my start date. I called back three times and left three messages but the recruiter never returned my calls. During this very odd time period -- you extend an offer but you don't call back? -- I accepted another position.

Question 1
None were difficult. My advice, just prepare for a behavioral style interview.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Oct 2012
Interview
The interview process consisted of a campus interview followed by a trip up to their campus in Richmond, VA for a final round of interviews. This included a case interview, a behavioral interview, and a personality interview. What followed was a tour of the campus, and meeting with year one program participants to learn more about the job and the rotational program.

Question 1
My case was about call center profitability metrics. Just simple profit analysis with fixed and variable costs.
