I applied online. I interviewed at Camunda (Zürich) in May 2025
Interview
I was asked to complete a technical task. I provided them with a great solution. The review feedback was inadequate, scoring high the 'plus' but with a collection of buzzwords for the 'minus', which should support overall 'negative' feedback. When surprised by this illogical conclusion of the review I provided the additional comments and I asked to send me more specific comments of their 'minus' (which were completely generic and irrelevant to the task, btw) in a hope that they just did not have time for a correct review, and a professional feedback is still possible, my email was just ignored, and no explanation for the obviously incorrect review was given. I assume that they are so unconfident in what they do during their reviews that they prefer not to give any direct answer to my request of being clear and specific. They just fail completely recruitment process, and they don't want to assume their responsibility.
Brief, don't waste your time on this company - their culture is obviously toxic; the company is irresponsible, and even if you are employed, nothing of respectful behavior is guaranteed by them.
Clearly, deeply unprofessional.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
We’re sorry to hear that the review and feedback process left you feeling frustrated and unheard. That’s not the experience we aim to provide. Clear, respectful communication, especially around feedback is something we take seriously, and it’s clear we fell short here.
We’ll use this feedback to improve how we review and respond to technical submissions going forward.
We appreciate the time you invested in the process and wish you all the best in your future opportunities.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Camunda in Apr 2025
Interview
I had
1. Recruiter round ✅
2. HM round ✅
3. Java hack session ✅
4. Whiteboarding 🚫
All went well until 4th round. In whiteboarding round the interviewer was very conservative and expecting me to think how he wants, somehow I felt like he has arrogant tendencies.
I already felt like he will give me "No". During the interview his wife was making noise in the background and distracting us.
Getting rejection is totally fine, but getting rejected by a irresponsible person hurts.

Thank you for taking the time to share your interview experience with us.
We’re sorry to hear that your final interview didn’t feel like a fair or respectful experience. While we know not every candidate can receive a “yes,” every interaction should feel thoughtful and professional.
Thank you again for your time and openness. We wish you the very best in your career journey ahead.
The first round was the HR interview, asked about my past work experience. Then second round was java coding challenge. I got rejected in second round and they gave me feedback also. I am not followed SOLID principles while writing code. Also exceptions are not handled consistent across the code.
