The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ByteDance (Singapur)
Interview
Went through 5 rounds of interviews.
The questions asked are a mix of experience, situational and behavioural questions.
STAR method works well.
What I didn't like was they asked for my payslips before an offer which is very odd and invasive. Especially when it is no longer a requirement to give an offer.
I provided them based on trust and thinking an offer might be coming.
And to my disappointment, it didn't come in the end.
I doubt the role was ever real when I think about it as all their various roles have the same pay range across.
Probably wasting candidates' time to fulfil their objectives.

Interview
The interview is conducted in Mandarin. The interviewer didn't show any respect for the candidate and came up to say that my background is very unsuitable for this role at the beginning of the interview. The interviewer is paying more attention to his own computer than my answers.
