I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Broadcom (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
After an initial phone screen interview, this was followed by an on site interview. I thought the interview was impersonal and just technical. Each interviewer asked technical questions immediately, without any discussion of position or what their responsibility was within the organization. After a day of this, I wouldn't want to work there anyway.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Broadcom (Irvine, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
1st director
2nd HR
3rd lunch interview with two manager
4th senior engineer technical question
5th senior engineer technical question
The most difficult part is having lunch with two managers, you have to answer their questions when eating your lunch, basically I only have a bite and starving in the afternoon. Focus on basic questions and signal processing if you want to interview this position

Software engineer intern position for the Sunnyvale office. Initial phone screen and then was called for onsite. Total 4 rounds + 1 with Recruiting manager. They never got back to me with the results. Interview was organised but follow up was not great. Questions difficulty was average. Mainly focused on data structures/ algo/ debugging and memory management.
