I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Hongkong) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online and got an invitation for a phone call after 2 weeks (since I wasn't in Hong Kong). They asked me any preferrable time and date for the call, so I said I'm available for 9-12pm for the next week. However, my interview date got scheduled 3 weeks later at 5pm. (wasn't sure what's the point of asking the preferred date/time then). The interviewer was really nice and kind though. Overall it was a good experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first question was a brief self-introduction. I mentioned several skills that I learned from my previous internship experiences, and the interviewer wanted specific examples of each skillset I've listed and how can they be applied to this particular position.
One question I got stuck was "Was there any innovative idea that you've suggested during your previous work?". I wasn't sure of what type of innovative ideas he wanted - if it should be related to the finance or not, etc.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Jun 2024
Interview
6 month interview cycle so it takes a while to actually talk to managers. The trader was not the nicest and would laugh after interviews. Overall a really long process
