I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BASF in Aug 2018
Interview
Had a phone screen about 5 days after applying online. After the phone screen, was set up with an on-site interview about 3 weeks later. Received emails and calls prior to interview, communicating what to expect as well as "coaching" for the interview. Seemed to line up well.
The on-site interview process was a joke however. Had a phone interview with a person at their HQ, which went well. The next day was the on-site with 5 people. They each had a printed handout with at least 35 behavior-based questions. They were not engaged at all, and it was very apparent they were just "doing the bare minimum", as I am 100% a candidate was already selected prior. They each had an instance of confusion regarding if it was their turn or not, and the hiring manager was falling asleep. Prior to the interview, the hiring manager passed me 3 times without every acknowledging my presence.
All in all, there were 2 "non-behavior" questions asked. I wouldn't call them technical questions by any means, however I tried hard to sprinkle in technical jargon and situations during the ordeal.
Process was nice, however the people were rude and not engaged. Behavior-based questions straight from the internet.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you encountered a difficult situation at work?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at BASF (Clemson, SC) in Apr 2024
Interview
Generic interview questions meant to lay an even playing field for candidates. Took about 30 minutes and HR was very nice and accomadating to my questions. They did an internal hire for the position.
