Question 1
Background, why are you interested in the position
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Applied Materials (Austin, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
I interviewed with a group of five engineers who worked there. They asked mostly simple behavioral questions. There was only 1 technical question at the end which tested your ability to use a multimeter. They were very friendly and also gave me a tour of their lab.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Applied Materials (Rechowot)
Interview
i passed 3 interviews. 2 - technical and one HR
1st interview with a team manager - technical. easy questions (mostly standard).
2nd technical and HR were on the same day.
Technical interview was with team members and it was again simple.
most questions were about C with classes. no modern c++11 at all (probably they do not use it)
Then i had to wait almost one hour for the next interview.
The interview with HR was below average. - no self-introduction from her side, no proposal to ask my questions. it was more like an interrogation than an interview.
And after that, they did not bother themselves to update me.
