I applied online in middle April 2016 and got contacted by the recruiter end of April to set up the first phone interview with the hiring manager.
1. I provided 5 options and the recruiter came back to me 2 days back with the interview confirmation, the first and last name of the person I will be interviewing with.
2. The first interview with the hiring manager took place begining of May, the hiring manager was on-time, very professional and questions about my leadership and change management experience.
3. A week later, I received a follow up e-mail from another recruiter (The first recruiter who contacted me was on vacation) inviting me for the second telephone interview and I proposed couple of options and waited for 5 business days without any confirmation of my second interview.
4. I then sent a reminder to the second recruiter but no answer; I sent another e-mail to the first recruiter reminding her that I received an e-mail confirming my second interview, however I never received the interview schedule and confirmation.
5. Two days later, I received an e-mail confirming my second interview for the following day, the recruiter only indicated the first name of the person I will be interviewing with.
6. I replied back asking for the last name as well (so I could check his Linkedin profile), then I was provided the last name of my interviewer.
7. The day of the phone interview, the interviewer (Senior Colleague) seemed very unprepared, no consistent flow, he seemed very distracted.
8. Since my second interview, I never heard back from Amazon. I sent 2 separate e-mails with 1 week interval to both recruiters but I never received an answer.
I find this kind of attitude disrespectful and very unprofessional.
I was really disappointed not to see Amazon leadership principles reflected during the recruitment process. In a professional environment, it is important to set standards to return any inquiry and it is extremely disrespectful that having spent time preparing for an interview, you do not deserve any answer, it is really a shame............
When I got my second interview confirmation, I was only provided with the first name of my interviewer, again this is unprofessional and disrespectful, really a shame...

Any situation where you have to learn and how did you learned it?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in May 2016
Interview
Initially a recruiter contacted me from Lab126 (Sunnyvale, CA) for this role in Seattle. It was fairly standard and well-put together. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, which went 1 1/2 hours (he's a talker). I was fortunate to get scheduled for an in-person (this last Monday, May 2nd). The on-site took about 4.5 hours where I met with 5 different people. The first person I met was the "bar raiser", which in my opinion wasn't entirely fair. Outside of this aspect, it was a fairly positive experience.
