I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Final interview where I made a presentation and then had several rounds of interviews with different interviewers over the day. In asking questions, the interviewers really stuck with the Amazon method of asking, "Tell me about a time when...," each related to Amazon's Leadership Principle. Some of them asked a question about a different principle than I was told in advance, but overall they were more or less what I was told. I think I answered these leadership questions reasonably, but I stumbled on ML questions and a statistics question in a package delivery context.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Sunnyvale, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Overall it was a nice experience. The interviewer started the conversation by giving me a choice to pick one of my favourite projects on my resume, then proceeded to talk about deep learning questions, followed by a leadership principles question, followed by a coding challenge

Question 1
What are the obstacles that you faced in your projects, and how did you overcome them?
Disgusting! Absolutely disgusting.
They set up what looks like a fake job and the team head interviewed me, as someone expert in my field, for a business problem he doesn't know an answer to. A day later, I received an email saying the job is no longer available.
Obviously, this was an unpaid consultation! Amazon continues with the bad reputation and abusive behavior that should be among its "leadership principles" by now.
