Amazon sr, vendor manager interview questions

Recruiter called and set up the phone screen with the hiring manager. Hiring manager asked questions on Leadership principles. Initial phone screen was very thorough and detailed. But no feedback shared after the interview. Recruiter followed up after the interview and provided the feedback that I had been rejected. Seems like they only want to hire people who can answer questions in the STAR format and based on the leadership principles. Nothing to do with your past experience or capabilities or relevant knowledge of the role at hand.
