I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Jun 2021
Interview
This position was in the Risk and Compliance Services (RCS) team.
First call with the hiring manager, with a 'surprise' SQL test straight away. The test was not that easy, requires strong SQL skills (self-joins etc).
Then second round with 4 interviews (!) with 3 members of the team + one from another team. They were supposed to be only behavioral interviews, but I had to do another SQL test for 30 mins in the first of these 4 interviews.
Overall the communication with them is rubbish. It took them over 3 weeks to schedule these 4 interviews. The last interview got confirmed the same day, 3 hours later!
Declined it since they salary offer was £13k below what I expected (despite giving them my salary expectations from the start of the process). Waste of time with unprofessional people. Such a shame for Amazon.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had a difficult interaction with a senior stakeholder.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Austin, TX)
Interview
The process consisted of a technical and behavioral round. Although the recruiter stated it would cover SQL and behavioral topics, the interview focused entirely on scenario-based and behavioral questions without a live SQL technical assessment. Communication after the interview was poor; the recruiter did not respond to follow-up emails, and an automated rejection notice was sent two days later.

The interview process includes a SQL test, an initial recruiter call, and a final five-round loop featuring technical questions and discussions focused on Amazon leadership principles with different team members.
