I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Luxembourg) in Jun 2016
Interview
1) A first phone call with an HR manager, she wanted to know how my previous experiences could fit into the job. No traditional behavioral (principles) questions were asked. But I answered giving some hints on them. Always try to create your answers matching one of their principles.
2) An Excel - Sql test.
Excel: mainly pivot tables, IF and Vlookup functions.
However there are different ways to solve the questions but the ones I mentioned are the quickest.
Example: I had to find how many companies have "software in their names", given a column of +300 different companies.
SQL part is fairly easy. I had to crate some queries, merging two different tables in order to gather the proper information.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q1: Generic question about previous internship I made, how this experience is fitting with the role/job description.
Q2: Have you ever worked in a scenario in which you have to dive deep into data and provide specific metrics. If yes, what was the outcome? Can you give some numerical example and metrics used?

Question 1
The whole process was quite smooth. First hr screening, then several interviews with team and my future colleagues. Eventually with the manager, who was very supportive and gave me plenty of tips
two rounds of interview, one with HR and one with two managers from the team. asked behavioural question, question related to my CV and its content and examples from my experiences based on Amazon leadership principles.
