I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe
Interview
Adobe reached out to me and invited me to apply to a role. I completed a phone round with the recruiter and then a second phone round with the hiring manager. It's been over a month since with no decision from Adobe even after asking the recruiter for an update.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn & the recruiter reached out to setup an initial screening call with the hiring manager. There were a total of 5 panels + screening call with HM. One of the panels was with the Engineering manager. HR was looped in through the process & swift in response, the panels were super cordial, always on time & were open to having conversation outside of interview to break the ice before starting out.
Enjoyed the process overall
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interviews itself were pretty average. The screening round was more to understand the motivation for applying & understanding the work being done presently. There on, in every interview it was a variation of below:
- Why Adobe, why Product management & why the move?
- Favorite product & product strategies around that?
- Approach to working with engineering (to assess how would you deal with devs)
- Product design question & some questions on innovative approach with AI/ML interventions.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe (Neu-Delhi) in Nov 2021
Interview
The Adobe interview process has deep roots in nepotism. Firstly, the interview calls come from a third party, and not from an Adobe recruiter (they want to pay commission to their known people), however talented a candidate can be.
Next, my 2 rounds of interview went well. Then, no feedback till next 2 weeks despite several reminders. I believe that Adobe's culture and process is seriously bad.
However, I have heard that compensation is good. So, in case you make it without knowing anyone on the inside, congratulations! But I understood why other big companies have grown so much, while Adobe still lacks true growth - they do not treat good talent well
