I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe (Sydney) in Jan 2022
Interview
The interview was engaging and thorough, with thoughtful questions about my sales strategy and teamwork. I appreciated the transparent discussion about company culture and future growth opportunities. Felt optimistic afterward.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe (München, Bayern)
Interview
Talent updated me on a regular base and got good feedback. All manager also share the feedback afterwards and at the end they also tell you the reason for the final decision.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interested about my past, etc. They want to know if you fit as a person
1st: recruiter scan
2nd: hiring manager
3rd: director
4th: presentation with manager, director and VP
Was getting great feedback throughout the process. Yes, I did not have the $2.5-$3m quota experience (I am more in the $1.5m), but they said they still wanted to see if I can fit especially with my background.
I received great feedback throughout and from the presentation stage, then I did not hear a word from anybody. I reached out to the recruiter after a week and got a very fast response that they were still wrapping up interviews. After that, nothing.
It is amazing to me that so many companies have such poor follow up. All I wanted was some feedback to understand how I can eventually land a large enterprise job like this. The amazing thing is that a lot of supposedly top Glassdoor companies do the same thing.
Word of advice, have the time to follow up and let me know why I did not get the job especially because I was one of two remaining candidates (which was not true when the recruiter said they were still wrapping up other candidates). I get it that I better candidate existed.
