I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ALDI (Northampton, England)
Interview
Recruitment event with an assistant store manager asking quick questions back and forth about my availability, competency (heavy lifting, till speed...) and some experience, although this was not necessary.
They were polite and informative about the type of work ethic and culture that Aldi has.
Application online , video interview questions, in store interview, manager was cold and kept describing the job as hard that was available , got a no response next day , as manager described people staying only 4 weeks due to work to hard , you think he takes on older mature person, his loss for reliability staff
Was an online interview they asked why I want to work for aldi why do I think I’d be a good fit and what’s a time you delivered excellent customer service

Question 1
What’s a time you delivered excellent customer service
Pleasant and honest. Interview was held a hotel conference space in an open day format. Prospective workers were called in batches in a sort of ‘speed dating’ format. Interviewers were actual assistant store managers and as such were able to provide relevant insight into the role.
