I interviewed for an HCM Team Lead role. The initial conversations were professional, but after the process I received a rejection not based on my skills or experience, but because I hold a BN(O) visa. This visa gives full legal right to live and work in the UK, yet ADP stated their policy is to only hire candidates with “indefinite right to work.” This policy is discriminatory, as BN(O) holders are legally eligible and the rule disproportionately excludes Hong Kong candidates of Chinese ethnicity. It left me with serious doubts about ADP’s commitment to diversity, equity, and fairness.
