      Major Accounts Sales Representative Interview

      Feb 5, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP in Feb 2023

      Interview

The interview process was as expected in comparison to what you read on here. The first conversation was with the recruiter, which was to probe mostly about the role itself and if I was a good fit for the role (not necessarily the company) and if it aligns with what I was looking for. I had a pleasant experience with the recruiter, as we spoke for more than the time allotted but it was very informative and helped with my decision to continue forward. The second interview was with the VP in the region. This interview was to make sure I was a good fit for the culture of the company. The conversation was way different than the recruiter one, which was nice that it wasn't the same questions over and over. This chat was about a half hour and was a chance for me to make sure ADP was the family I wanted to join. The VP gives you the approval (or disapproval) to move forward in the interview process. The third (and technically fourth) interviews were in person. This was with the hiring manager for a half hour and a teammate for another half hour. Both of these were more about the role specifically with an opportunity for me to ask more about the day to day and the organization. This allowed me to ask questions that pertained to the work being done instead of the company itself, so it helped line up what I would be doing and the potential career paths that I could take. The final interview was a mock presentation with the VP and hiring manager. This was about an hour long and was two parts - first to present to them as the role and them being a company looking for the products. This presentation was less about knowing the product but more about how comfortable you are speaking, presenting and asking probing questions. Reactions and responses were the main points here. The second part was the presentation about myself. This is the bragging part, to show off and tell them why you are the one to go with. They love personal details, what drives you, and how you can relate real life activities and achievements to work life. This whole process took a little over a month, as in person activities are limited right now. There were some delays on responses and followups here and there, but nothing too crazy.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ADP

      Interview

A phone interview with the recruiter. Then two in-person interviews and a presentation. I had to do a presentation on selling 3 people a product. I was asked several objection questions about the product. It was long process. One of the managers answered is phone in the middle of the presentation and walked out and then came back in. At the end of the presentation they said I would be contacted. The recruiter contacted me on the phone and I didn't receive an offer.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at ADP (Richmond, VA) in May 2019

      Interview

Phone interview with recruiter went smoothly. I was send information on what I needed to study up and prepare for the in-person interview. They want you to showcase your success, understand what you would be selling at ADP, and what the value proposition is. Make sure you prepare to discuss high transaction sales, activity levels, and pipeline management. Will update this once I have my in person interview.
