I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ADP (Norfolk, VA) in Sep 2017
Interview
The hiring process was very clear and concise. I had about 3 interviews total, the first initial interview over the phone with the recruiter, then the first face-to-face with the hiring manager, and last but not least with the director of the Implementation Department. They were all very relaxed interviews as far as the face-to-face ones, they were more conversational. The phone interview with the recruiter is more situational which was expected so that they can gain as much info as possible for the hiring managers to make a good decision. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Phone interview was situational questions, experience questions, and selling yourself.
Other questions in the face-to-face were more conversational like Tell me about yourself, Top 3 skills you have, what would your old boss or co-workers say about you? If you could be anything in the world, what would you be? How can I tell you're having a bad day? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What do you enjoy doing in your free time? and of course know the basic interview questions, but be creative with your responses and be ready to think outside the box.

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at ADP in Aug 2023
Interview
I was very disappointed with the hiring process with ADP and the overall experience was negative. There was zero personal touch with the candidate and emails feel like all auto-generated. First, I was asked to complete a video recording interview which has nothing to do about your work experience or your background but starts with a question like if you would be okay with $XX pay range, then followed by other HR related questions. I would really prefer to talk to a real person and we could conduct this conversation in a 3 mins phone call. The auto-generated email system is a bit all over the place, I received emails with conflicted information. 2 Months after my application, They threw me an email asking me to pick a time for the interview from the 2-3 open slots when there is only one slot available. I replied I couldn't make it. A few days later, they threw me another email about the next day morning's interview. I expressed my disappointment with the overall hiring experience and the lack of communication as they need to understand that not everyone would be able to make a next-day interview without advance notice and catch up with the same-day email until getting off from work. Then I received a voicemail from the person with an upset tone and mentioned he tried to call me before but went to my voicemail, my question to him is why he did not leave a voicemail or at least send a follow-up email before. As a recruiter, he needs to understand that candidates also have duties at their current work, not everyone can pick up the phone, and he needs to understand there are so many telemarketing calls out there too. A voicemail or a follow-up email would be greatly appreciated. I felt even more disappointed after hearing this frustrated voicemail. I decided to withdraw my application.
