Best place for semiconductor design and wireless innovation. Healthcare plan is good. Vacations are 3 weeks a year starting, and increase post 5 years. Good 401K plan, good facilities on site.

Cons

Certain departments, like mine, are partial to specific employees and are underpaid and unfair. Promotions and awards are given to those who are friends with a manager outside of work, without any bearing or relation to professional performance. Salaries are low for the area. Some facilities, like the hospital, are not useful since there is a long wait time, which kills the original intent of the service.

Pros

The best reasons to work at QUALCOMM include the people, the benefits and the career opportunities. In my department, I have grown in all facets of my career - thanks to QUALCOMM. Employees have access to an on-site medical clinic, a variety of fitness centers and cafeterias. Pool and tennis courts are also provided. For the energy concerned employee, electric cars are available to rent to encourage carpooling. Although it varies from department to department, my department permits flexible work schedules and did I mention career opportunities?

Cons

The downside of working at QUALCOMM is the stress and overtime that comes in conjunction with career opportunities
