Pros

Good perks, very professional and highly talented people and above all........cutting-edge products. The experienced people here are willing to share knowledge and groom new talent which is a big plus for any fresh graduate. Since, Qualcomm is very choosy in theor recruiting process, they trust you with big responsibilities of the projects. If you happen to deliver, then the responsibilities will only increase exponentially. The 6 month review cycle is good because it helps you understand how well you are meeting expectations and not to mention the pay raises every 6 months.

Cons

very competitive, promotions are very hard to get. Its pretty tough to climb the ladder in short time unless you are prodigious.

Pros

Exciting technologies, a chance to change how customers use mobile technologies. The people you work with are mostly great. There are plenty of resources for things like equipment.

Cons

The appraisal process is poor, there are no real reviews, even though there are two a year, little happens in looking back over the last 6 months, you're scored, but there's little in the way of discussion. Training is sporadic and project planning is haphazard.

Smartest electrical engineers around. Good focus on patents/ip, not just short term revenue projections. Work on advanced technology attracts some cool people.

Cons

Large company means opportunities to do things with initiative are by definition hard to do. Tends to have alot revolving around SAn Diego.
