North American Market Is Crumbling

Pros

The employees, at least those who are still there...

Cons

- NA leadership has very little experience. - The installation of Lean principles into the sales force. - Company morale is in the tank and no one at the top cares. - The company is incapable of collecting it's AR, consistently. - Continued mass exodus of leaders who know what they're doing. In summary: New NA CEO is destroying the company. During your interview, ask why so many of the NA executives have left in the last 12 months. The product quality is suspect and they're trying to drive Lean principles into the wrong parts of the organization. Do yourself a favor, stay away!

Pros

pros: 1. Open culture wihtin BU, but its fadding slowly 2. Reputed name

Cons

cons: 1. Vaccination- when companies like infosys gives vaccication for free. Why cant Philips being health care compnay is charging ?? 2. No work-life balance Too much work - After managment has changed and corona, there is too much wrk as if its service based company. Worked til 1pm sometimes 2pm , even weekend was not spared. Even after doing work by stretching what is the hike 5%?? really? 3. Policies changed - After new managment took office almost everthing is changed mobile remeburment(10K) - earlier present - now removed fitness/wearables(20k) - earlier present - now removed yearly outing(company provides 10k) - earlier present - now removed 4. Covid home office setup(10k was provided, to claim 10k u hv to purchase 13k dont u think tat these guys should be WALLSTREET BROKERS) - earlier was told even ups was covered as rembuirement but, when its bought policy makers said ONLY FOR LAPTOP UPS. I means who will buy only laptop ups ??? 5. Tranport - This is big issue. earlier its was just 1600 rupees, after managment change it was increased to 3600 rupees. Dont know what is fate of employeeds after corona like this many polcies changed 5. So if u get offer. Dont think its product based company n join. Think tat u will working for 12-16 hours keep this in mind ask salary accordingly

Thank you for sharing your experience working at Philips with us here. It's unfortunate to hear that it hasn't been a positive one. We understand that multiple changes in ways of working could not be ideal, therefore we recommend discussing with your HR representative, in case there is something that could be done, in order to improve your experience. Next to that, please know that our Management Teams are also active here, on Glassdoor, therefore your feedback will be taken into consideration. We wish you all the best!

Pros

If you are in a position that has a ton of visibility, you are taken care of.

Cons

There is no sense of job security, the new CEO is insane, cutting costs left and right (by ending leases, forcing people to relocate, and but cutting entire departments altogether) Our team of 50 was terminated Jan 18, despite being above quota every year. I can understand why we were cut though. No one knew there was an inside sales team. There was no push from the top to integrate the team into the long standing routines of the outside teams. There was no announcement. Months are spent, upon hire, trying to get the word out that we even existed. Those that utilized our talent were very successful. Those that did not were often below their quota. The focus is on the outside account management teams, who are stretched so thin that it is literally not possible for them to get around to all of their customers regularly. This is why inside sales was started in the first place. Philips had, and will continue to have, a reputation of terrible customer service. They are the company that closes the deal, and then never touches you again.

Many thanks for taking a moment to share your thoughts. It's regrettable to hear how you feel about some of the choices that were made. Please do note that decisions of relocating or layovers are not thought of lightly. The fast paced market we operate in sometimes asks for these decisions. I do wish you all the best in your career from here on out. And thank you for the work you've done whilst being part of our company.
