The company does invest hugely in training and development and looks after it's people. There are opportunities to work internationally with colleagues in different natcos. The sector is experiencing long-term growth and, as an industry, offer good prospects in the medium to long term.

Cons

Defence may not be for everyone...: if you do want to work in this sector it is a great company to work for.

Interesting business to work in, some really nice people, great facilities and really progressive T&Cs.

Cons

Money wasted in all areas with management seemingly uninterested. Senior UK management completely anonymous. Lots of “Heads of” senior managers but all lacking the leadership that can exert influence and create value. Can be cliquey, particularly amongst the “lifers” When there is a new starter from outside with new ideas and enthusiasm, the common joke is that “we’ll soon knock that out of him”. If you are the type of person who can switch off to your frustrations and do the minimum asked of you, you will be very comfortable
