Opportunity to have a lot of impact, if you're on the right team. Competent peers (I have not encountered a single incompetent peer at Google).

Cons

These days, politics and fights over control of the narrative, rather than technical competence, are the key skill to get ahead. This formerly great engineering company has become a company of politicians and McKinsey-ites.
