What to Expect
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our Tesla EPC team. In this role, you will lead quantity surveying efforts for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in large-scale construction projects. You will focus on accurate cost estimation, procurement support, and value engineering, with a strong emphasis on leveraging advanced software for automated Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about optimizing processes in a dynamic engineering environment.
What You'll Do-
Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

Utilize specialized software to automate quantity take-offs, generate BOQs, and streamline data extraction from BIM models, reducing manual errors and improving efficiency.

Assist in procurement processes, including vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, and claims management for MEP subsystems.

Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials, designs, or methods while maintaining quality and sustainability standards.

Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate MEP quantities into overall project plans, using digital tools for real-time updates and reporting.

Conduct risk analyses on MEP costs, prepare progress reports, and forecast financial impacts using data analytics.

Lead quantity reconciliations for unit rate contracts. .

Weekly reporting to senior management is a core requirement to ensure transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
What You'll Bring-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as MRICS or AIQS are highly desirable.

7–10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 5 years focused on MEP systems in EPC or large-scale industrial projects.

Strong track record in high-tech manufacturing, energy, automotive, or infrastructure sectors.

In-depth knowledge of construction methods across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, earned value management, and the use of industry resources like R.S. Means to validate productivity and durations.

Advanced proficiency in automated quantity takeoff tools including CostX, Candy, and Bluebeam, combined with strong expertise in BIM platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g. Dynamo for Revit) is essential.

Proven ability to lead and manage both internal and external quantity surveying resources.
