Das Strategy Team Personal Banking Germany ist Teil des Strategy-Bereichs der PB. Das Team verantwortet die Entwicklung, Umsetzung und Kommunikation der strategischen Ausrichtung des Bereichs und stellt die enge Abstimmung mit den übergreifenden Prioritäten der PB sicher. Darüber hinaus spielt das Team eine zentrale Rolle bei Business-Development-Aktivitäten, arbeitet eng mit anderen Bereichen der Bank zusammen, um eine effektive Strategieumsetzung zu gewährleisten, und liefert fortlaufend kommerzielle sowie strategische Beratung.

Diese Funktion bietet eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, die strategische Ausrichtung von Personal Banking Germany aktiv mitzugestalten und direkt mit regionalen und globalen Führungskräften zusammenzuarbeiten. Deine Aufgaben

• Du gestaltest aktiv eine überzeugende strategische Gesamtstory im Rahmen der übergreifenden PB Strategie und begleitest deren erfolgreiche Umsetzung.

• Du entwickelst die strategische Agenda von Personal Banking Germany kontinuierlich weiter, indem du Marktinformationen, ein tiefes Verständnis des Geschäftsmodells sowie Erkenntnisse zur finanziellen Performance gezielt nutzt.

• Du übernimmst Verantwortung für strategische Projekte, führen ausgewählte Initiativen und Workstreams eigenständig und arbeitest eng mit funktionsübergreifenden, internationalen Teams zusammen, um innovative Lösungen zu realisieren.

• Du wirkst aktiv an strategischer Planung und Zielsetzung mit und arbeitest dabei partnerschaftlich mit Finance und dem COO-Bereich zusammen.

• Du unterstützt die inhaltliche und konzeptionelle Vorbereitung von Senior-Management-Terminen innerhalb der Deutsche Bank Gruppe, im Bereich sowie im Austausch mit zentralen externen Stakeholdern (z. B. Aufsichtsbehörden, Investoren und Analyst:innen).

Deine Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen

• Du bringst mindestens vier Jahre Erfahrung in den Bereichen Strategie und Business Development mit, idealerweise im Banken-Umfeld mit Fokus auf Retail Banking.

• Du bist versiert darin, interne und externe Stakeholder aktiv einzubinden, um Projekte auch in dynamischen und anspruchsvollen Umfeldern erfolgreich voranzutreiben.

• Du agierst flexibel und anpassungsfähig, setzt souverän wechselnde Prioritäten und gehst sicher mit komplexen, unvorhersehbaren sowie zeitkritischen Aufgaben um.

• Du kommunizierst verhandlungssicher auf Deutsch und Englisch, verfügst über internationale Arbeitserfahrung und koordinierst erfolgreich funktionsübergreifende Teams.

• Du zeichnest dich durch ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten und hohe Detailgenauigkeit aus und bist sicher im Umgang mit komplexen Finanzmodellen.

• Du verfügest über exzellente mündliche und schriftliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und bereitest Inhalte adressatengerecht auf – vom Arbeitsteam bis zum Senior Management.

Deutsche Bank Personal Banking Germany operates across different brand and sales channels with around 18mn clients. It is well-connected with Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank operating in over 60 markets, supporting entrepreneurs with private and business needs through the ‘Bank for Entrepreneurs’ proposition. As part of our core business, we provide premium retail banking solutions to European retail and affluent clients in Germany, Italy, Spain and Belgium.

The Personal Banking Germany Strategy team is part of the Private Bank (PB) strategy division. The team leads the formulation, execution and communication of the strategic directions of the coverage area and aligns their strategy agenda with PB-wide priorities. The team plays a crucial role in business development activities, partners with other areas of PB to ensure effective strategy execution and provides ongoing commercial advice.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to shape the strategic direction of the Personal Banking Germany coverage area and collaborate directly with regional and global leadership, providing exceptional visibility at the highest levels of the organization.

Your key responsibilities

• Contribute to crafting a compelling narrative as part of PB’s overall strategy and its execution.

• Contribute to the evolution of Personal Banking’s strategic agenda for Germany, leveraging market intelligence, strong business model understanding and financial performance insights.

• Support strategic projects and initiatives by taking ownership of selected strategic initiatives and workstreams, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions on a global scale.

• Participate in strategic planning and target setting in partnership with Finance and COO.

• Support the preparation for senior management meetings within DB Group, coverage area and with key external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, investors/analysts).

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 4 years' experience in strategy and business development, preferably in financial services with a focus on Personal Banking.

• Skilled in engaging internal and external stakeholders to drive project outcomes in fast-paced environments.

• Adaptable to shifting priorities and capable of handling complex, unpredictable, and urgent tasks.

• Fluent in German and English, with international work experience and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proficient in managing complex financial models.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
