We are currently recruiting for Q1 and Q2 off-cycle interns only. Other positions will open later in the year.

Investment Banking overview:
Nomura’s Investment Banking Division provides advisory and capital-raising solutions to corporations, financial institutions, governments and public-sector organizations around the world. Our global teams act as geographic, product and industry specialists. We connect clients directly to Asia, accessing deep pools of liquidity and dynamic growth markets.

In EMEA, we operate across targeted industry sectors and in most major European countries to deliver strategic advice to clients wishing to acquire, combine or sell businesses or looking for financing and risk management solutions.

Programme overview:
Internships are a great opportunity to experience first-hand the possibilities of a career in banking. It is your chance to get a feel for our culture, create new networks and gain valuable on-the-job training. Internships are also the perfect preparation for a subsequent full-time role.

What’s your role?

Investment Banking interns are placed into the Germany coverage team for 3 month internships.

Nomura’s Frankfurt based German coverage team provides comprehensive and innovative advisory, financing and risk solutions services to private equity firms and corporates across all sectors. The team has a longstanding track-record of successfully executed M&A transactions both private and public. Recent mandates include advising iCON Infrastructure on their acquisition and debt structuring for Meinhardt Städtereinigung, acting as leveraged finance advisor and bookrunner to AutoScout24 on their term loan B repricing, advising Partners Group on their sale of VSB to TotalEnergies, and advising Keyence on their acquisition of Cadenas.

As an intern in the team, you will:
Be part of a successful team with direct exposure to senior bankers
Receive a structured 1-week training program
Work on projects alongside colleagues in London, Zurich and other Nomura offices worldwide
Support the Frankfurt IBD team at the preparation of marketing materials and the day-to-day execution of live mandates
