I went through an agency, whole process took a long time and it was bit chaotic because I wasn't kept up to date. Actual interviews were both phone and face to face and positive ones.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at RSA Security (Salt Lake City, UT) in Oct 2013
Interview
Quick interview, asked technical questions along the same lines of the job posting. Interviewer was professional and clear. They were upfront as to what the position entailed. They also did not talk down on the position even though the current state was busy due to lack of resources, this was a big plus.

Question 1
How do you make a drive mount persist through reboot in Red Hat Linux?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RSA Security (Bedford, MA) in Sep 2011
Interview
There are multiple interviews involved. Typically there is a quick phone screen with a recruiter, then a ~60 minute technical screen via phone, followed by in-person interviews with the hiring manager and a sales manager or salesperson that you'd be working with. The final step in the process is a mock technical sales presentation.
