phone interview <30 min conversation with recruiter before hearing about next steps. Only wanted to talk about college experiences, even for experienced hires. no way to distinguish between those with experience when starting this job - everyone starts on the same tier.
Thank you for your feedback. While we strive to interview for your track record of excellence throughout your entire body of work, we could certainly make a more concerted effort to not have a one-size-fits-all interview for recent grads and experienced hires. We value diverse levels of experience and diverse backgrounds, and we are working to ensure that our interview process better reflects that. Thanks again, we appreciate the time you took to speak with us!
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MuleSoft (Holborn, England) in Jun 2017
Interview
Assessment day through Pareto Law. Starts early at 9 finished around 5. Started with an introduction of the company and then everyone would stand up and introduce themselves. Then there were group activities followed by an individual 3 min presentation as to why you want the job and an informal interview. At the end of the day learned if they want you or not.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MuleSoft (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2017
Interview
MuleSoft is very selective about the kind of talent they hire. This is a great news if you are the kind of person that enjoys growing and being challenged by others. But this also means that the interview process is not easy for you as a candidate.
My interview process started with an AD recruiter, Madeline. She is your advocate and your best friend throughout the process. Her attention to detail and her passion spoke so loudly about MuleSoft and its values. First interview was focused on knowing about who you are as a person, what accomplishments set you apart, and why you want to be in sales.
The second interview was with an Account Development Executive at MuleSoft. It gave me a great idea about the caliber of people at MuleSoft and the culture that promotes learning, growing, and being good people. I think the questions will be different for each person. You are talking to someone who has done what you will be doing. My interviewer asked me about why sales, why MuleSoft, and why I would be a good fit. Again, the emphasis was on the kind of talent they want to hire for the company. Great news if you love challenge. Not so good if you don't.
The third interview process involved written questionnaire and a mock cold calling. You need to be at the top of your game here. Show your ability here. The interviewer had so much feedback, both positive and constructive. Again, this told me so much about how serious MuleSoft is about their sales talent. I could tell instantly that the interviewer was an expert at tech sales and he knew what it takes to be successful in the role. Listen, ask questions, and learn.
The last interview was with multiple people. The details will be given to you by your contact. If you made it this far, you have done really well! Finish strong. I've spoken to people at the leadership level. It was really helpful for my decision making process to know the philosophy of the people who will be steering the ship, so to speak. Be yourself. Show them who you are.
The interview process at MuleSoft is extremely well-thought-out. I can honestly say that it was really a two-way interviewing process. MuleSoft grilled me to get to know me and I grilled MuleSoft to know who they are. I can confidently say, strictly based on their selection process, MuleSoft is a place for the top talent in the tech space.
