I applied online. I interviewed at Capgemini (Pune) in May 2024
Interview
The actual interview process was of two weeks but they took 2-3 weeks to actually release the offer.
Interview was not that difficult, 1st - Technical and 2nd - more questions about the projects that you have worked on.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capgemini in Mar 2024
Interview
First, HR screening. Passed the first interview with data science managers. They were very kind. Passed a take-home technical assessment. Then got an interview with a lead data scientist. Highly unprofessional. This individual was leaning back in their chair and seemed like they didn't want to be there. Asked me in-depth questions about my projects but couldn't follow my explanations, since they had never heard of the technologies I was describing (e.g. zero-shot models). At the same time, gave a high-sounding speech about how the company is 'always up-to-date with the latest in AI'.
After this rather confusing interview, I got no answer back. Over the course of the next weeks, I emailed my interviewers asking for an update and was ignored by all of them, which may reveal that this behaviour is well embedded within the company.
tl;dr: Highly unprofessional. Ghosted after 4 phases of the recruiting process.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capgemini in Jun 2024
Interview
Initial call with the recruiter followed by two quick technical rounds and interview with the manager. Process was very smooth and fast. Unfortunately I had to decline as the salary offered was way lower than even the lower end of the range I had quoted. Low balling is not ok even if the market is tough.
