I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Indianapolis, IN) in Apr 2019
Interview
I applied on ADP website through Indeed. The process started with a short, simple, interview with a member of their talent acquisition team. I then was scheduled a facetime interview with two sales managers. (I believe this interview tends to take place in person but I was applying for a position in Indiana while living in Florida.) It was very conversational, not very difficult questions: walk through resume, then follow up questions from there. I was then asked to come to Indiana (not paid for by the company) for a "ride-day" which involved shadowing a current employee on their day to day tasks. This portion, to me, was a complete and utter waste of time. The ride-day had no structure, and a lot of down time. I spent the first hour sitting behind the employee as he took personal calls, and wrote emails. We then went to the first scheduled meeting, in which the prospect didnt show (not his fault) but he had no back up plan for us to do. The whole day was like this. In short most of the day was spent driving or sitting in the car. Frustrating to say the least, considering I had to fly and drive to the location on my own dime. Aside from the ride-day, it was professional and structured. But the company should consider removing this as part of the process.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
It was straight forward. A couple of phone screening interviews, then in person interviews. They take you on a Ride-along with one of the reps and they show you the day to day of the outside sales job. They want to make sure it is something that you are up for. Outside sales is a very tough job that requires a lot of time and effort!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP
Interview
Relatively standard interview process. First contact was a brief phone conversation with a recruiter. This was followed up by an in person interview with the Sales Executive. Most of the questions are behavioral in nature. Final interview was with same SE and area VP.
