I will say I had a similar situation by a hiring scam that worked through Telegram. That was very likely NOT Conduent. They get your information from your resume either from free sites or your local unemployment office / job board site at your state, if your resume is listed. They do all text type interview questions and even send offer documents that appear very legit, get you to sign them and return, then assign a "hiring manager" to discuss role with you online. They never speak to you on phone. I had similar situation, though representing another firm, whom I contacted via LInkedIn (the supposed hiring manager) and confirmed it was NOT him. They use legit employee names and even profile pictures on Telegram. They're getting slick. They lead you to point of attempting to discuss "pay and how you would like to handle pay" such as financial information etc. I told him that was an HR issue and requested to speak with the company's HR dept. They stopped responding. Don't blame Conduent. The firm my scam was imitating was Pentair. Legit NDA and offer documents on letterhead. BE CAREFUL. I didn't question the quick test communication, which may be more common now. But at some point you should be speaking/videoing with an individual. And never discuss pay or financial information with anyone but an HR representative. Hiring manager do not CARE how you get paid. I also caught very slight grammar errors as well. Another sure sign. Good catch you didn't go forward!
